About NM Vine & Wine Society
“To connect New Mexico wine enthusiasts, wine and grape growers and the wine industry through education, promotion and enjoyment of New Mexico wines.”
Established in 1974 by a group of visionary individuals, the New Mexico Vine & Wine Society is a nonprofit, volunteer organization dedicated to the exchange of information among amateur and commercial grape growers, wine makers, wine enthusiasts and connoisseurs. We believe that the uniqueness of New Mexico’s wine culture is to be recognized, preserved and celebrated. Our primary mission is to promote and develop oenology and viticulture in New Mexico.
The New Mexico Vine and Wine Society sponsors the annual NM State Fair wine judging, along with other regional educational and social events.
The New Mexico Vine and Wine Society consists of three chapters, loosely dividing the state. See the following links to their respective websites:
- NM Wine — New Mexico Wine & Grape Growers Association
- NMSU — New Mexico State University / Viticulture
- Wine of Enchantment — “Great wine tells a story!”
